In the event of success
For the developer
- Receipt of a confirmation email.
- Assignment of an individual badge "PrestaShop Expert certification Core Skills" with first name, last name, year of attainment, and year of expiration.
- The certification is available in its personal vault (personal proof in the form of a PDF and a digital badge with a QR code).
- The possibility to easily share the badge on LinkedIn and other networks.
For the agency.
- Receipt of an email confirming the developer's success.
- If this is the first active certified developer, your agency automatically receives the badge "PrestaShop certified agency."
- If this is the first active certified developer,your agency unlocks its visibility in the official PrestaShop directory.
- Starting from 2026, additional scoring points will be awarded based on the number of active certified individuals in the agency (see: Impact of individual certifications on scoring).
In case offailure.
For the developer
- Receipt of an email indicating failure.
- To retry, it is necessary to purchase a new ticket (€250).
- The ticket is consumed, even if it came from an annual subscription.
For the agency
- Receipt of an email notifying the failure of the developer.
- No badge is awarded as long as no developer from the agency is certified.
- To restart the process, the agency must purchase a new passage and assign it (see: How to purchase a certification? and How to assign a certification to a developer?)
3. Special cases
- A developer may fail several times: each attempt requires the purchase of a new pass.
- The pass included in the annual subscription is unique: used = consumed, even in the event of failure (see: Use your included exam passage).
- The agency may choose to certify another developer by purchasing an additional examination pass.
- When the certification expires (validity: 24 months), the individual badge becomes obsolete and the agency automatically loses its badge and visibility in the directory if no other developer is certified (see: Expiration and renewal of certification).
Successful certification brings immediate individual and collective recognition. In case of failure, keep in mind that a new attempt is always possible. Investment in certification directly contributes to the credibility of developers and the visibility of agencies in the PrestaShop ecosystem.
