PrestaShop has chosen one of the best partners to help secure your funds, guarantee their availability, automate transfers of your funds on a set frequency and fight fraud by going through a trusted third party to carry out the KYC (identity verification) procedure.
Is it mandatory to use Stripe?
For the time being, Stripe is not mandatory to enable you to recover funds from the old system. However, the use of Stripe is strongly recommended and will eventually be mandatory for all partners.
What happens if I don't register with Stripe?
Your funds will continue to arrive on the old system (visible in the PrestaShop funds tab on your Bank page) with the same manual process for retrieving them. However, the use of Stripe is strongly recommended and will eventually be mandatory for all partners.
What information do I need to create a Stripe account?
When you register, Stripe will ask you to fill in the following information: email and phone number (note that an SMS code will always be sent to access the account), company type, siret, address, manager's identity, manager's address, manager's age. Stripe may request a photo of the manager's identity card (only if Stripe deems it necessary in view of the information you have provided).
How long does it take to register with Stripe?
5 minutes or less if you have all the required information. Once registration is complete, Stripe may take up to 48 hours to validate your account. In most cases, validation is immediate.
I already have a Stripe Connect account linked to another platform. Can I use the same account with PrestaShop?
The Stripe account you will create will be linked to the Stripe Connect PrestaShop account so that we can make the fund transfers, so it is necessary to make a PrestaShop-specific registration.
What currencies are allowed to receive my funds?
Only the currency € is authorized to receive your funds via Stripe. You must select this currency when creating your account and must not change it once the registration is finalized.
If you do not select the currency €, your Stripe registration will not be finalized. If you change this currency later, your Stripe account will be placed on hold and transfers will be suspended.
I can't validate my Stripe account, what should I do?
If you are unable to validate your Stripe account, we invite you to check the information you provided when you registered and what Stripe indicates directly from your Stripe account.

My Stripe account has been put on hold, what should I do?

What happens to the funds currently available in my partner account?
Funds currently on the PrestaShop system are still available in the PrestaShop funds tab on your Bank page. The process for retrieving them remains unchanged, but the rule of a minimum withdrawal amount of €100 has been removed. This means you can retrieve all your funds from the old system and use only the Stripe funds system.
Once your Stripe registration has been finalized and validated, funds will be received automatically and your portfolio will be visible on the Stripe Funds tab on your Banking page.
Is there a deadline for withdrawing all my funds on the old PrestaShop system?
No deadline has yet been set. However, the use of Stripe is strongly recommended and will eventually be mandatory for all partners.
Is it possible to transfer my PrestaShop funds directly to Stripe?
This is not possible, you must withdraw them using the manual process.
Are Stripe cash withdrawals free?
Yes, the fees associated with funds movements are borne by PrestaShop with no impact on your earnings.
Is it possible to be paid via a Paypal account?
This is not possible.
Is it possible to have amount discrepancies between the Bank page and the Stripe dashboard?
Yes, but this must be a one-off occurrence. The Bank page reflects the balance according to orders placed, the Stripe dashboard reflects the balance according to transfers made accordingly. If there is a discrepancy, it means that an order has been registered (or refunded) but the transfer has not yet been taken into account on Stripe. This process should be instantaneous, but in isolated cases it may take up to 48 hours for an order to be transferred. If there is still an amount difference between the Bank page and the Stripe dashboard after this 48-hour period, please contact PrestaShop support.
How are refund requests on my products handled with Stripe?
If a refund is received on one of your sales within 45 days, the transfer to Stripe will be cancelled. The corresponding funds have not had time to be released. If a refund takes place after 45 days, the transfer funds have already been released, so your balance will be readjusted by means of a negative transfer, corresponding to the amount that has been refunded.
Is it possible to make purchases or subscriptions with the funds available on Stripe?
This is not possible at the moment.
How and how often are funds sent with Stripe?
Following each sale, a transfer of the amount corresponding to your commission is made to your Stripe Express account.
The funds are held in reserve for 45 days (making it easy to cancel a transfer in the event of a refund within 30 days of the order).
Once the 45 days have passed, the funds are considered available.
Every 1st of the month, an automatic payment is made, transferring all available funds to your bank account. You don't need to take any action - everything is done automatically. NB: For French partners subject to VAT, the VAT amount is automatically added.
The transfer from Stripe to your bank account may take 2-3 days to arrive.
Are there minimum and maximum amounts for receiving funds?
No, there is no limit to the amount of funds that can be transferred.
Does the billing process for withdrawing funds change?
Yes, the billing process is now automated. When a payment is made into your bank account (so every 1st of the month, for all funds released over 45 days), a corresponding invoice is automatically generated by PrestaShop on behalf of the supplier. For French partners subject to VAT, the VAT amount is automatically added. This invoice can be viewed and downloaded from the Invoice tab of your partner account.
If you don't like the PrestaShop invoice format, you can create your own invoice for your accounting purposes.
The invoicing process does not change when you withdraw funds from the PrestaShop system.
The billing address on my invoices is not up to date. How can I change it?
If the billing address on the invoice edited by PrestaShop is not correct, we invite you to update it from your Addons customer account, you will be redirected to your PrestaShop Account to modify and register your billing address.
Do I receive emails from Stripe when I register or send funds?
No, we relay information through notifications available on your partner account.
