In this article, we explain how to declare a PrestaShop merchant store URL and associate a site with your expert profile from the Expert Portal.
How to declare a store?
The declaration modal opens by clicking on Declare a store in the Stores section of the Expert Portal. It takes place in 3 stages.
Stage 1 - Information
First, choose whether you want to declare a single shop or multiple shops at once.
A shop:
- Please enter the name of the store (e.g.: Lumina Flagship).
- Please enterthe store's URL (e.g. :
lumina-store.prestashop.com). - Click on Continue to the validation method.
Several shops (import CSV):
- Download the CSV template provided in the modal.
- Fill it out while adhering to the format:
name, url, method(method:htmlordns). - Upload or import the file into the designated area.
- Invalid lines are flagged and ignored in the next step.
- Click Next.
Step 2 - Verification Method
This step concerns only the flow of a store. For the CSV, step 2 displays a summary table of validated and ignored stores before submission.
Choose the verification method:
HTML Method:
- Download the provided HTML file from the modal.
- Place it at the root of your store on your server.
- Verify that it is accessible at the specified address (e.g. :
https://votredomaine.com/presta-verify-abc123.html). - Click on Declare a new store.
DNS Method:
- Copy the DNS verification key displayed in the modal.
- Add a TXT record in your domain's DNS zone with this value.
- Click on Declare a new store.
Step 3 - Confirmation
A confirmation screen is displayed. The store is added to your list with the status Pending. The system automatically checks every 6 hours.
From the confirmation screen, you can:
- Declare another store to get back into the same flow.
- View my stores to return to the list.
Each validated URL earns you 20 scoring points. There is no limit to the number of declared stores.
How does the verification work?
Once your URL is submitted, our verification system automatically checks the compliance of the store every 6 hours.
Two verification methods are available:
- DNS verification: a TXT record is added to your domain name.
- HTML verification: a verification file is placed at the root of your store.
The store must be operational and accessible for the verification to succeed.
If you wish to force an immediate check without waiting for the next cycle, you can manually restart the verification from your list of stores: open the Actions menu (⋮) next to the relevant store and select Recheck now.
Possible statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | The verification is in progress (deadline: up to 6 hours) |
| Validated | The store is confirmed and contributes to your scoring |
| Action required | The verification has failed (store inaccessible, incorrect configuration) |
What to do if the status remains pending?
If, after 6 hours following the declaration, the status remains "Pending" and does not change:
- Check that the store is accessible online.
- Contact Care support if the problem persists.
