Once a certification has been purchased or the included attempt has been unlocked, you must assign it to a developer in your agency so that they can take the exam. This process is carried out directly in the Expert Portal.
Steps to assign a certification.
- Log in to the expert portal.
- Access the Certifications section.
- In the Certification Tracking table, you can find all the certifications of your agency.
- You can directly assign a developer to a certification by clicking on the Assign a Developer link in the Actions column.
- A modal opens. You can then:
- Select a user already present on the portal from the proposed list.
- Or directly enter the developer's email address if it does not appear in the list.
- Confirm the assignment.
💡 You can also add a developer to your team in advance via My Account Team Management - they will then appear in the selection list of the modal.
- Once the certification is assigned, the developer automatically receives an invitation email with instructions on how to access their exam (see: Examination Procedure for Certification).
Important points to remember
- ⚠️ The assignment can be modified as long as the exam has not started. You can reassign directly from the Expert Portal.
- Once assigned, the developer can take the exam at any time during the validity period of the attempt.
Specific cases
- Multiple developers to certify: each attempt must be purchased and assigned separately (see: How to purchase a certification?).
- Failure in the examination: the passage has been consumed and a new purchase is necessary to retake the examination (see: What happens in case of success or failure?).
The assignment of a passage is essential to enable your developers to obtain their certification.

May I reassign a passage to another developer if the first one has not used it?
Yes, as long as the examination has not yet commenced. You can do it directly from the Expert Portal.
Does the developer receive their access immediately after assignment?
